Obituary for Donald K Pinkerton

Donald Kay Pinkerton of Van Buren went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 8, 2024. His family was by his side. Born on July 28, 1941 in Brea, California to John Douglas and Beulah Leona (Dill) Pinkerton. He was preceded in by his parents, brother Junior Ray Pinkerton; sister Glada DesRochers; step mother Sally Pinkerton.
Don was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He loved fishing, gardening and helping anyone in need. His family was the joy of his life; he was a worker and what he did he gave his all. He was owner of Universal Storm Cellars for twenty years and Point Liquor on Grand Avenue in Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Kay (Bryant) Pinkerton of the home; one daughter Deborah Kay Shelton and husband Steve of Van Buren; one son James Douglas Pinkerton and wife Kim of Fort Smith; one brother Bobby Dean Pinkerton of Bakersfield, California; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Burial will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Dementia Foundation.
