Obituary for Donald Lee Cleavenger

Donald Lee Cleavenger, Born in Fort Smith, AR at St. Edwards on November 16th 1969, to Jack R. Cleavenger, Sr. And Elizabeth (Haskins) Cleavenger. He was a 1988 graduated from Southside High School.
Donnie passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Van Buren, AR on January 13th, 2024. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He was a light to everyone that he crossed paths with. He offered never ending encouragement and an abundance of love. He enjoyed spending time with his son whether it was showing him all the classic horror movies, the Star Wars Saga, or showing him how to play golf. He loved being Papa Don. It’s a role he honestly filled best. Donnie enjoyed watching the Razorbacks and the Seahawks play, painting in his spare time, and being around those who brought out the best in him. Prior to his retirement he spent the last few years of his career at Shared Services Center in Fort Smith, where he met several friends and inspired.
Donnie was preceded in death by his nephew Scott Snipes, his brother David Cleavenger, his parents, Jack and Elizabeth Cleavenger.

He is survived by his son Ashton Don Cleavenger (Katlyn) of Fort Smith, his daughter Heather Zavala (Joseph) of Van Buren, two brothers; Jack Jr. (Linda) of Barling; Gary (Sherry) of Greenwood, two sisters; Kimberly Snipes (Fred) of Van Buren and Debra Reynolds (Dale) of Rogers. Donnie is also survived by his two granddaughters Presley Cleavenger and Kaylee Hargrove; two grandsons, Jaiden Zavala and Gabriel Zavala. He had numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
