Obituary for Charles Woods
Charles Woods, 78, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 in Fort Smith. He was born on June 25, 1944 in Flower Hill, OK to Ed and Estelle (Wooten) Woods. He was retired from Whirlpool, a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Lula “Lou” Mae Woods.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial to follow in Old Jenny Lind Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his son; David Woods (Caroline) of Van Buren; two grandsons, Edward Woods of Greenwood, AR and Jeffery Woods of Cameron, OK; seven step grandchildren; a brother, John Woods of Pocola, OK; a sister, Tracy Jenkins of Hackett; two step brothers, Tom and Leon Aary of OK; three step sons, Norman Harrold, Willis Delp and Al Skelton; four great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Victor and Justin Arguello, Shane Hughes, Steve Woods, Donald Wooten and Mike Henderson. Honorary pallbearers are Brock Carter, Edward and Jeffrey Woods and Kenny Hunt.
