Carl Wayne La Rue, 68, of Mountainburg, AR passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in a local hospital. He was owner/operator of Carl’s 71 Tire for 40 years, a member of Alma Masonic Lodge, a District 1 Volunteer Fire Dept. board member, he ran “All Things Common Outreach” from his shop where he handed out food and furniture to the needy, and a huge volunteer of his time and talents. He also loved taking his grandchildren fishing. Carl was born March 3, 1955 in Mulberry, AR to the late Lone Star La Rue and Velma Louise (Rye) Wright.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Morrison Cemetery. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include his wife, Hope (Miller) La Rue of the home; daughters, Christina Pursley of Muldrow, Carla Biggerstaff of Muldrow, Coatney LaRue of Fort Smith, and Cynthia Winstead of Alma; sons, Keith Hobson and Shawn Hobson both of Mountainburg, and Joshua La Rue of Fort Smith; a sister Tina Dollard of Alma; brothers, Roger La Rue, Curtis La Rue, and Pete Wright all of Mountainburg and Gene La Rue of Fort Smith; 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way and Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Hobson, Dusty Hobson, Daniel Dollard, Anthony
La Rue, Blake Henson and Michael Dollard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Fincher, Rex Robbins, Bill Sammons, Jonathan Sammons, Jeffrey Sammons, Gaylon Miller and Matthew Dollard.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening May 25, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR
