Obituary for Bonnie L Nelson (Scheffler)
Bonnie L. Nelson, 84 of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 in a local hospital. She was a former employee for National Lock in Rockford, Illinois, Bost Human Development Center in Van Buren and Crossmark Marketing in Bentonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys (Krick) Scheffler; three sisters, Ruby Hampton, Wanda Palmer and Elsie Thompson.
Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home In Van Buren. No service will be held at this time.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicky Felterman and husband, Glenn of Fort Smith; two sons, Steve Carter and wife, Cara of Cedarville, Ryan Nelson and Rennae of Durand, Illinois; one brother, Fred Scheffler and wife, Faye of Piggott; two granddaughters, Marisa Felterman of Farmington, Nichole Astr of Van Buren; two great grandchildren Kayla Brown of Fort Smith, Jessica Kennedy of Van Buren; nine great great grandchildren and her best friend Gary Brown of Van Buren.
