Barbara J. Brasuell, 86 of Van Buren passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 in a local hospital. She was a beautician and a volunteer at Crawford County/Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren. She enjoyed her volunteer work and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Champ and Gladys (Wilbanks) Rogers; her husband Melvin Brasuell; one son Randy Payne; one brother W.D. Rogers.

Funeral services will be 10AM, Friday September 1, 2023 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Uniontown under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by two sons, Dwight Payne and wife Debbie of Cedarville, George Brasuell and wife Shari of Tomball, Texas; two brothers Douglas Rogers and wife Margo, and Warren Rogers and wife Vicky all of Alma; seven grandchildren Travis Payne and wife Taylon of Alma; Candy Bonds and husband Randal of Cecil; Tasha Oden and husband Daniel of Van Buren; Chris Payne and wife Tiffany of Cedarville; Andrew Payne of Cedarville; Zack Brasuell and Jacob Brasuell both of Tomball, Texas; several great-grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5-7PM at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, 700 Jefferson Street.

Pallbearers will be Jason Rogers, Toby Rogers, Travis Payne, George Brasuell, K.C. McClendon and Dwight Payne.
