Obituary for B. Sue Head
B. Sue Head, 85, of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with her lord and savior August 13, 2022 in Springdale. She was a former member of New Beginnings PCG in Mountainburg, AR and was a faithful servant all of her life and loved Jesus above all else. She was a loving mother and nana to many, a sister and friend to all. Sue was born February 10, 1937 in Portsmith, Virginia to the late Leroy F. Jr. and Mazel (Thornburg) Kay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Eugene Head; parents Leroy and Mazel Kay; brothers, Leroy Frank Kay III, James William Kay; and sister, Dorothy Dare (Kay) Cummins.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with private burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR at a later date. The family will visit with friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Head, Spencer Massengale, Matthew Baker, Jayden McPherson, David Turner, and David Wood.
Survivors include sons, Jeffrey Head and wife Cindy of Springdale, Lance Michael Head of Van Buren; daughter Michele Williams of Fort Smith; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
