Aloune Sanoung, 67of Fort Smith entered into his eternal home on Monday, April 24, 2023.
He passed at Baptist Hospital surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle of kidney
Disease. He was born in Vientiane, Laos on June 24, 1955. He retired from Riverside
Furniture after twenty-five years. He was a loving husband, best friend, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his mother Teow (keopila) and his dad Oui Kouw; two brothers Coon and Seng
Aloune was the first of eleven children.
There will be a public viewing for family and friends on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10 AM - 12Noon
At Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Joan Sanoung of the home; one daughter Apryl Green
And husband Jeremiah of Pocola; three wonderful grandchildren Sophia, Ezra, and Ellie; three brothers
Jimmy of Canada, Saught of Thailand, Ti-Long of Japan; five sisters Moi, Hooang and Joy all of Japan ; Vin of Oklahoma and Len of Maryland and many, many nieces and nephews.
