Condolence: I remember my sister as a little girl playing with our dog Buff on our farm in Indiana. She also had a lifelong love of cats. I know there will be many kittens in Heaven to continue to bring her joy. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy goes out to Jon in this time of sorrow.

Condolence From: Ruth Beckner
Condolence: I met Jeannine when I worked at Independence School Bartlett (School Dist U-46 Elgin, IL) where Tammie attended. She started out volunteering and then took the position of teacher asst. I told her with her college background she could do it. She enjoyed working with all the students and loved them all. She enjoyed getting together with staff members for breakfast after she retired. She was a great caring person who will be missed. Jon worked for IBM and helped us be the first school with a computer program for student data way back in the 80's and was always there to help. I shall always be thankful for that Jon.

Condolence: Jon, you and Jeanine are like family to me. I have many fond memories of radio club campouts with you and the family. Once I had started my own family, you became surrogate grandparents to my boys. I will miss Jeanine's happy go lucky smiling face. Know that you have my deepest sympathies and please extend my sympathies to DeWayne and Tammie.

Condolence From: Ginny Jarema - The Joe Jarema Family
Condolence: I've known Jeannine since Tami Jo & Joey were in Chapel St. Preschool. So many, many memories from Hot dog lunches at Pioneer to Friday am Bowling leagues. One we used to laugh about was the 1st snowy day of the season. We'd send the kids off in mismatched gloves & mittens. We would go shopping & buy our supply of hats & gloves for that winter & then out to lunch, vowing to start earlier the next year. Jeannine would always help out - whether it be by doing or just being a 'sounding board'. She was always a great friend with a kind, kind heart. Jeannine, you'll be deeply missed - I'll treasure the memories.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of your loss, John. Jeannine was remembered with a moment of silence at the V.A.R.A. meeting last night. Your friend Ken gave a talk about Jeannine for the group. She was remembered fondly in Elgin area Amateur Radio circles. I hope that God gives you strength in the days ahead.

Condolence From: Ken Piletic - W9ZMR
Condolence: Jeannine, my very good friend of many years - I have many fond memories of frequent visits and "Din-Din" suppers with Jeannine, Jon, DeWayne, and Tami. Besides the personal visits, we also had "on the air" get-togethers as Ham Radio Operators. I remember, Jeannine, your lending your former Call Sign "KA9BOI" to the Packet Radio Community world-wide as a Digipeater Identification. In Alma we continued to communicate by radio under your new callsign, W5MEW. When I bought my "winter home" in Alma, we were able to re-instate the "Din-Din" suppers almost every week at the local restaurants. I will miss the great conversations and visits with a great person. "88" de Ken, W9ZMR

Condolence: Jeannine was always the most upbeat person I ever knew. Always helpful and kind with everyone. She had a kind and gentle heart and always willing to spend the time listening to you life stories and or concerns. We will miss her presents but not her memories of the times we shared in her company at any event. Always the best Ham's Ham and helpful.

Condolence From: Jon Zellmer husband and life partner
Condolence: Jeannine loved to go camping. we had just purchased a newer motor home after an electrical problem caused a fire. Our first and second trips were to hers and my 50th high school reunions. We also visited our daughter Tami in Davis Junction, Il. Jeannine fell on a wet kitchen floor 2 days before new years and broke her kneecap The first surgery failed to fix the kneecap and a second was performed last Tuesday. Tuesday night she developed a blood clot and passed away Wednesday morning. I miss her very much.
