Roger D. Spears, 67, of Mulberry, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday June 1, 2021 in his home. He was a tree trimmer, a U. S. Marine Corp Veteran and a member of Locke Freeewill Baptist Church. He was born September 30, 1953 in Mulberry, AR to the late Percy and Lila May (Prever) Spears. He loved hunting, fishing, riding horses and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Rowland and brother, Alvin Spears.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Locke Freewill Baptist Church with interment in Locke Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Spears of the home; son, Eric Spears and wife Debra of Alma; stepson, Terry Henson and Wife Denise of Mulberry, AR; sisters, Beverly Donaldson, Patricia Hoen and Elaine Tash all of Mountainburg, AR; grandchildren, Karlee Swartz and husband Sam, Adam Spears and wife Hope, Olivia Spears, Bailey Spears and Chad McCabe and wife Amanda and Ryan Hesson; Great grandchildren, Haven Spears, Olen McCabe, Tyler McCabe and Jerimiah Cole.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Spears, Heath Spears, Matthew Spears, Joseph Brewer, William Brewer and Brandon Spears.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, June 4, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
