Tyrina Kaye Howard, 53, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Washington Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Alma, a substitute teacher and bus aide for the Alma School District, a member of the 1985 Championship Alma Track Team and a 15 year cancer survivor. Tyrina was devoted to her family, spending time with her grandkids and loved watching the news. She was born September 2, 1967 in Bakersfield, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Leroy Howard and a sister, Teri Cunningham.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Newberry Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The service will be livestreamed on the Ocker-Putman Facebook page.

Survivors include her daughters, Kassi Shelton of Sallisaw, OK, Kayla McCain and Kelsey McCain both of Alma; a son, Kyle Kelly of Atlanta, GA; mother, Linda Howard of Alma; sister, Tanya Howard; 3 grandchildren, Darren Shelton, Bryson Koch and Emersyn Poor and lifelong friends, “The Fabulous Five”, Brenda Lewallen, Ramona Garcia, Angela Dickson and the late Teresa Rainwater.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Poor, Jacob Reynolds, Zane Blankenship, Scott Cunningham, Daniel Breeden and Anthony Reynolds

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, April 16, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
