Obituary for James T "Tom" Gatewood III
James “Tom” Gatewood, 66 of Alma passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in his home. He was a self-employed heating and air technician. He was preceded in death by his father James Gatewood II, a sister Ceres Gatewood and a step-son Tony Porter.
He is survived by his wife Norma Gatewood of the home; three daughters Angela Gatewood of Rudy, Krystal McIntosh and husband Andrew also of Rudy, and Kelly Rings of Van Buren; a stepson Travis Porter of Little Rock; two brothers Richard Gatewood of Alma and Robert Gatewood of Texas; three sisters Dawn Dunnam of Brady, Texas, Cindy Torres of New Mexico and Lyn Mullen of Cedarville; his mother Stella Buerger of Brady, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A family held memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Newberry Chapel United Methodist Church in Alma.
Cremation was under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
