Jim Minor, 92 of Van Buren passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 in a local nursing home. He was retired from AT&T, past president and life member of the Lions Club, pasted member of the Golden Eagle Camping and member of the Heritage United Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie (Leonard) Minor; his parents Sid and Blanche (Shibley) Minor; a daughter Joan Temple; three sisters Maxine Fahrner, Polly Cain and Virginia Clegg; one brother Bob Minor; one stepson Johnny Parker; a granddaughter Jeanette Walker and a great granddaughter Hannah Walker.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by three daughters Jane Fram and Jill Fain both of Van Buren, Julie Hopkins and husband, David of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister Janeice Kramer of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Garry Fain II, Gentry Fain, Nathan Hopkins, Andrew Hopkins, James Fram, Ryan Brown, Tyler Doss and Kevin Hodson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be The Lions Club and the Pioneer's.
