Obituary for George Samuel Garrett
George Garrett, 74 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 in a local hospital. He worked for the Fort Smith Public School System for thirty years in the maintenance department and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Marie Garrett; his mother Margie (Kiger) Garrett and a brother Jack Clymer.
He is survived by a sister Vickie McCombs of Abilene, Texas; a brother Richard Garrett of Van Buren; sister-in-law Margaret Clymer of Fort Smith and many nieces and nephews.
A family held memorial service will be at 11AM, Saturday March 6, 2021 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Van Buren. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
