Obituary for Col. Thomas Allen Epperson

Col. Thomas (Buddy) Allen Epperson, Ret. Went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2021. He was born October 7, 1934 to Floyd and Zelma Epperson in Morrilton, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Floyd Epperson. He is a graduate of Arkansas Polytechnic College (ATU) and the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education. He served in the U. S. Army for 31 years before retiring to the Mulberry Community where he was the owner and operator of Sandy Branch Hereford Farm. He served in the Mulberry Lions Club, Lions World Services for the Blind, Lions of Arkansas Foundation, Mid-South Lions, Sight and Hearing Services, Mulberry Community Theater, on the Pleasant View Water Public Facilities Board and was a big supporter of the Crawford County Fair.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Mulberry First United Methodist Church in Mulberry, AR with interment in U. S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The service will be livestreamed on the Ocker-Putman Facebook page.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Pam) of 66 years; a daughter, Laura Perkins of Mulberry. He has two grandchildren, Kendra Smith and husband Michael and Kyle Garrett, all of Mulberry. He has five great grandchildren, Lauren, Joshua, Prudence, Hunter and Abigail. He has two sisters, Shirley Boren and husband Dennis of Atkins and Joyce Morrow of Morrilton. He has one brother, Robert Epperson and wife Mildred of Foley, AL. He has numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Boren, Richie Boren, Jeremy Epperson, Grant Benham, Jared Williams and Kerry Bob King.
