Donald Dale Bailey, born March 25th, 1944 in Kirksville, Missouri passed away on January 23, 2021 in Van Buren at the age of 76. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission High School of Shawnee Mission, KS after which Don worked many jobs in the trucking industry. A member of both Firestone Tire Company of Des Moines, Iowa and TG&Y of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, among many other long haul driving, heavy equipment moving, logistics and freight management positions including joining local Freight Broker G&W of Fort Smith, AR, along with his wife Sharron Bailey (Ball) before retirement. Don and Sharron were married for 26 years at the time of his passing. Don loved the open road, fast cars, classic movies, the family pets Sunni and Penny, and tolerated the rest of us.
Don is preceded in death by parents, father, Clifford Dale Bailey, his mother Martha Maxine Bailey (Carpenter), and his Aunt Dixie Tuttle (Carpenter).

He is survived by a son Jason Bailey of Austin, TX, a daughter Wendy Hurt of Mississippi, and a stepdaughter Keli Thomas of Spiro, OK. He is also survived by three grandchildren Brianna Hocker of Fort Smith, AR, Emily Hocker of Mississippi, Jesse Thornell of Van Buren, AR. and two great grandchildren Sebastian and London Thornell both of Van Buren, AR.

Per his request there will be no memorial service. Cremation services were provided by Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
