Obituary for Eva Jo Dougan (Powell)

Eva Jo (Powell) Dougan died Tuesday, January 12, 2021. She was born February 21, 1927 in Gans, Okla, the daughter of Ida Bell and Elijah Powell. She was a retired Wal-Mart associate and a charter member of Friendly Pentecostal Church of God in Van Buren where she enjoyed singing in the choir, organizing events, and serving with the Ladies Ministry.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Long of Van Buren; a son, Roger Dougan and wife Jackie of Mt. Ida; a daughter-in-law, Jean Ellyne of Van Buren; a brother Quinton Powell of Van Buren; a sister-in-law, Grace Law of Van Buren; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William “Dub” Dougan and two sons, C. E. and Harvey Paul.
Graveside services will be 11AM, Friday January 15, 2021 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
The family expresses their deep appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Legacy Memory Lane for the love and compassion “Ms. Jo” received while she resided with them.
