Obituary for Lloyd Ellis Grace

Lloyd Ellis Grace, 88, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, January 8th, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The 13th of 15 children of C.C. and Cleo Moore Grace, he was born November 5, 1932 in the New Hope community near Dardanelle, AR. He was a 1950 graduate of Dardanelle High School. He served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He later attended the University of Arkansas where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Agriculture. Lloyd retired from Allen Canning Company where he worked as a Field Representative for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, Razorback sports and Pickleball. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attended their activities whenever possible. Lloyd was an active member of City Heights United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom, Ben, Jack, Frank, Glen, John, Bill, Charlie and infant Russell Grace; sisters, Inez Overcash James, Elizabeth Fink, Anna Lee Gartrell Richardson, Mary Roggencamp and Sarah Whitford.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Powers Grace, Van Buren; three daughters, Carol Mills and husband John, Van Buren, Alice Humphrey and husband David, Van Buren, Marilyn McGehee, Springdale, AR; five grandchildren, Anna Grace Mills, Eli Mills and wife Hannah, Emily Humphrey, Seth Humphrey and Christopher McGehee; and numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and a multitude precious family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Wednesday January 13, 2021 graveside at New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to City Heights United Methodist Youth Ozark Mission Project scholarship fund.
