Jimmie Underwood, 80, of Spiro, OK passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at a local nursing home. He worked for his older brother at a service station in Spiro, worked for Guys Foods for 20 years, retired from Leflore County and was an Air Force Veteran. Jimmie was born December 17, 1940 in Stigler to the late Artess and Evelin (Ray) Underwood. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Underwood; sisters, Betty Allbritton, Marion Wright and Bonnie Pendleton and brothers, Charles, Howard and Joe Underwood.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Survivors include a daughter, Mechelle Boyce of Van Buren; son Justin Underwood of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family friends.

Per ADH guidelines, attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
