Patricia M. “Pat” Pierce, 85, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on August 20, 2020 while being cared for at Heart of Hospice. She was born on July 18, 1935 in Miami, Florida to George and Frances (Porter) May. She was the co-founder of Woodco Furniture and worked alongside her husband for many years. She was an active member of Rye Hill Baptist Church. Pat was preceded in death by her grandson, Jerry Mikel Bird and the recent widow of her husband of 64 years, Bob Pierce, Sr.
Funeral service is 1:00 Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with a private burial to follow.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa Bird and her husband Jim of Greenwood, AR; a son, Bobby Pierce, Jr. and his wife Lesley of Fort Smith, AR; a brother and sister in law Bill and Marilyn May of Stone Mountain, GA; four grandchildren, Krissi Beeks and her husband Will of Siloam Springs, AR, Cara Morland and her husband Daniel of Bentonville, AR. Avery Johnson and her husband Parker of Fort Smith, AR and Bennett Pierce of Russellville, AR; four great grandchildren, Presley and Crosby Beeks and Remington and Pierce Moreland.
Pallbearers are Jim Bird, Will Beeks, Daniel Morland, Parker Johnson, Bennett Pierce and Chuck Kuehl.
Her family is eternally grateful for the care she received at Heart of Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heart of Hospice, 2910 Jenny Lind Road, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
