Obituary for Willis G. Wood
Willis G. Wood, 84, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in a local hospital. He was a retired carpenter, farmer and cattleman and a member of Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was born December 13, 1935 to the late John and Pearl (Parker) Wood. He loved living on the farm and spending time with grandkids and drinking coffee at Simmons Quick Stop.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Bidville Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. Service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Wood of the home; one daughter, Lana Blair and husband Almon of Alma; two sons, John Wood and wife Jennifer of Alma and Marty Wood and wife Lisa of Elkins; one sister, Lorene Adams of Fayetteville; one brother, Earl Wood of Odum, IL; 7 grandchildren, Branden Wood, Kaley Carroll, Taylor Blair, Kade Wood, Landon Blair, Devin Wood and Chase Wood.
Pallbearers will be Josh Carroll, Branden Wood, Kade Wood, Devin Wood, Chase Wood, Landon Blair, Taylor Blair and Kaley Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Atwell and the Coffee Drinking Buddies at Simmons Quick Stop.
