Obituary for Mary Ruth Blackwell (Dervage)
Mary Ruth Blackwell, 89, of Roland, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 in her home. She was born in Gulf, Texas to Alva and Clarinda (Branstetter) Dervage. She was a graduate of S.W. Texas State College and was an elementary school teacher. She was a musician at First Baptist Church of Houston and a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta, OK. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Jack Blackwell.
Graveside service is 10:00AM, Friday, October 18, 2019 at Rockport Cemetery in Rockport, Texas. Graveside services are under the direction of Charlie Marshall Funeral Home of Rockport, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Cal Blackwell and his wife Jana of Roland, OK; a brother, Victor Dervage of Roland, OK; four grandchildren, Jason Krohn and his wife Rachel of Roland, OK, Jennifer Schaffer and her husband Aaron of Plano, TX, Jenna Krohn of Roland, OK and Julie Johnson and her husband Jody of Konawa, OK and five great grandchildren, T.J., Madlyn and Maisie Krohn, Maddison Shaffer and Sevy Johnson.
