Obituary for Carl Robert Getz
Carl Robert Getz, 69, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on October 1, 2019 in his home. He was born on June 30, 1950 in Allentown Pennsylvania to Stanley and Anna (Sivak) Getz. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a former truck driver for USA Trucking and of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son John Getz.
A family held graveside memorial service with military honors is 11:00AM, Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his daughters, Dara Lansdell of Van Buren, AR and Michael Ann Schlemmer of San Francisco, CA; two sons Brandon Getz of Hackett, AR and Carl Robert Getz, II of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, Albert, Joe and Richard Getz and seven grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
