Charles William Smith, 72, of Mulberry, Arkansas passed away on August 6, 2019 in a local hospital. He served in various law enforcement roles and retired from the Arkansas Crime Information Center, a member of Dyer Baptist Church, Gideons International, and The NRA. He was born August 3, 1947 in Paragould, AR to the late William Olen and Wanda (Thompson) Smith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Reichardt.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.,
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Smith of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Fisher and husband Dennis of Huntsville, AR; two sons, Donald Wayne Smith and wife Gillian of Spring, TX and Barry Cooper of Mulberry, AR; one sister, Dana McDonald of Little Rock, AR.
Pallbearers will be Seth Fisher, Jason Sisemore, Bill Liggett, Kerry Brown, Richard Hoffman and Joe Bradshaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Dyer Baptist Church and Jeremy Fisher.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, August 9, 2019 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
