Obituary for Evelyn Faye Weldon (Bryant)

Evelyn Faye Weldon, “Miss Evelyn”, 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Methodist Health and Rehab. She was born on June 24, 1947 in Colorado Springs, CO to Edward and Irene (Goodsel) Bryant. She was the Pre-School director at Eastside Baptist Church for 17 years and was currently a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Weldon of the home; a son Hugh Weldon and his companion Kat Robinson of Little Rock, AR; a step daughter, Angela Weldon of Fort Smith, AR; a sister, Beverly Paleitte of Seattle, WA; a brother, Edward Bryant of Pueblo, CO; two aunts, Carol Zimmerman and her husband Don of Colorado Springs, CO and Margaret White of Clarksville, VA; one niece, Gwen Cowell and her husband Aaron of Seattle, WA.
Funeral service is 10:30AM Thursday January 31, 2019 at Rye Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM Wednesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
