Obituary for Janie Marie Watkins (Evans)
Janie Marie Watkins, 65 of Evansville passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 in her home. She was postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Evansville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Watkins; one son, Jimmy Joe Watkins, one sister, Marie Evans, one brother, Tommy Evans and one great grandchild, Brantley Davis.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Newberry Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Winsted and husband, Rodney of Evansville; two sons, James Watkins and wife, Danya of Evansville, Frank Watkins and wife, Karen of Uniontown; two sisters, Donna McConnell and Marsha Lynn Verkilaen both of Mountainburg; one brother, Robert Allen Boren eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be James M. Watkins, Tyler Watkins, Rodney Winsted, Robert Boren, James L. Watkins and Dylan Kimble.
