Joan Mary Harris, 79, of Hot Springs, AR passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in a Hot Springs Hospital. She was Owner/Operator of Harris Interiors in Alma, a member of the Red Hat Society, a lifelong resident of Alma and of the Christian Faith. She was born August 30, 1939 in Detroit, MI to the late Harry and Fern (Finkbeiner) Berlin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Iris Laverne “Bud” Harris.
Graveside service will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Harris-Barrett and husband Randy of Mt. Ida, AR; son, William Craig “Bill” Harris and wife Julie of Belleville, IL; brother, Bill Berlin and wife Elizabeth of Franklin, MI; and 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Sean Harris.
