Obituary for Jack J Myers
Jack Myers, 81, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 in a local hospital. He was self-employed as Owner/Operator of Cedar Creek Log Homes. He was a member of the Independence Freewill Baptist Church in Natural Dam. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Myers and Mable (Dunn) Myers; a sister Betty Carr; and a brother Jerry “Jim” Myers; and grandsons Seth and Jerrett Myers.
Funeral Service will be 11 AM Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Sarah Grove Cemetery north of Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife Vondalena Myers of 62 years of the home; two daughters Tara Vaught and husband Alan of Van Buren, and Judy McNew of Colorado Springs, Colorado.; three sons Jeffery J. Myers and wife DeNise of Van Buren, Kendall Myers and wife Shirley and Tod Myers and wife Andrea all of Van Buren; four brothers Tom Myers, Alan Myers, Roger Myers all of Van Buren and Lynn Myers of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, and Thell Ellison.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
