Obituary for Bruce Fredrick Barbour
Bruce Fredrick Barbour, 69, of Vacaville, California passed away on December 15, 2018. He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Fred Austin Barbour and Mary Elizabeth Barbour. After 26 years he retired as a SMSGT from the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he worked as a Fabrication and Parachute Craftsman and an Aircraft Fabrication Superintendent. After retiring from the Air Force he worked for Chevron as a Crew Leader for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services with full military honors are 2:00PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sylvia Barbour of Vacaville, CA; a son Jason Weisenhaus and his wife Rebecca of Lakewood, WA; a daughter Tina Weisenhaus and her boyfriend Warren Covert of Suisun City, CA; two brothers, Dennis Barbour and his wife Irene of Fort Smith, AR and John Barbour of Eldorado Hills, CA; two sisters, Cheryl Plyler and her husband, Jonas of Murpheesboro, AR and Janis Perryman and her husband Danny of Fort Smith, AR; two grandchildren, Jaren Weisenhaus of Lakewood, WA and Justin Meisch of Sacramento, CA, and his family pet, “Oscar”.
