Obituary for Margaret Batounis Wright (Henry)
Margaret Bernice Batounis Wright, 93, of Pocola, Oklahoma died Thursday, December 20, 2018 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born on May 8, 1925 to Reverend John T. and Mary Lona (Dent) Henry in Enterprise, Arkansas. She was a retired registered nurse and had worked in Sparks and St. Edward Hospital as well as in private care. She was of the Baptist Faith and had attended Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husbands, Angelo Batounis and John Wright.
Funeral service is 2:00PM, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith, with burial in Leard Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanie Nix of Destin, FL, three sons, Bill Fielding of Fort Worth, TX, Gary Fielding of Fort Smith, AR and John Phillips of Van Buren, AR, a sister Sue Yarbrough of Fort Smith, AR and a brother Charles Henry of Huntington, AR; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Pallbearers are grandsons.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 3-5PM at the funeral home.
