Christopher “Chris” Justin Lackey, 50, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in his home. He was born on January 2, 1968 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Gerald and Colleen (Dailey) Lackey. He was employed at Baldor Electric in the Shipping Department. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Finley and was a member of First Lutheran Church. Chris was a super fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and of the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife Susan of the home; two daughters, Jacey Varnado and her husband Blake and Sarah Linimon and her husband Adam both of Pocola, OK; a step daughter, Emma Dae Bell of Fort Smith, AR; three step sons, Robert Clark, William Bell and Kyle Crouch all of Fort Smith, AR; three sisters, Cathy Hensley of Midway, GA and Tammy Tanksley and her husband Jeff and Laura Woodard and her husband Bill both of Fort Smith, AR: a brother, James Kaelin of Lavaca, AR and two grandchildren.
Funeral service is 4:00PM, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
