Douglas M  Crippen
Douglas M. Crippen, 69, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 in a local hospital. He worked for Ball Plastic/Alltrista for 30 plus years and retired from the City of Van Buren. Doug never met a stranger and was a huge music buff. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a cowboy at heart. He was born January 29, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Berniece Crippen; a sister, Molly Downhour; six brothers, Robert, Ronnie, Raymond, David, Danny and Brian Crippen.

Memorial service will be at 10 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Bethel Lutheran Church, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Candice of almost 47 years of the home. One son, Brandon Crippen and wife Whitney of Van Buren; two daughters, Heather Stamps and husband Jason of Wasilla AK; Kimberly Frazee and husband Donnie of Omaha, NE; a brother Gene Crippen; seven grandchildren, Douglas Crippen, Sara Taylor, Forrest and Mercede Stamps, Travis and Andrew Frazee and Alexis Lieth; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
