John Anderson  Waynick


John Anderson Waynick, 93, of Fort Smith, AR went to be with the Lord on Saturday September 15, 2018 in a local nursing home. John was born September 5, 1925 to Andrew Johnson and Maude (Sadler) Waynick in Clarksville, TN. He was a retired Pharmacist, a graduate of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fort Smith and a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. John was preceded in death by his wife, Ilean Waynick, three sisters, Virginia Holt, Mary Waynick and Mrs. W.J. Rogers; two brothers, Dave and Andrew Johnson Waynick, Jr.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Waynick and his wife Sandi of Fort Smith and John Andrew “Andy” Waynick and his wife Patty of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Adam Waynick of Fort Smith, Elizabeth “Beth” Waynick of Cleveland, OH, Josh Waynick of Cincinnati, OH and Zoe Hartman and her husband Justin of Cleveland, OH; two great-grandchildren, Phoebe and Naomi Hartman.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday September 19, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial in U.S. National Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Josh and Adam Waynick, Richard Nixon and Frank Jedlicka.
The Family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 6:30 P.M. Tuesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
