E. Clyde Goins, 90 of Fort Smith passed away on Saturday July 14, 2018 in a local nursing home. He was born July 2, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roy and Pearl (Langley) Goins. He was the former owner and operator of Goins Oil and Gas. Clyde was instrumental in starting the Fort Smith Association of Professional Landman and the Petroleum Invitational Golf Tournament. He attended Community Bible Church and was an avid fisherman and golfer. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Corky.
He is survived by one daughter, Greg Ann Parker and her husband Craig of Mansfield, TX; one son, Marty Goins of Fort Smith; one sister, Holly Hocker of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Meagan Wyant and her husband Stephen of Tallmadge, OH, Sara McCallum and her husband Bryan of Arlington, TX, Christie Goins of Fort Smith, Jeff Goins and his wife Ashley of Little Elm, TX, Brian Goins and his wife Payton of Fort Smith; five great-grandchildren, Claire, Audrey and Parker McCallum, Brooklyn Goins and Lyla Wyant; and his companion Martha Mizell.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday July 20, 2018 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with private burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Brian Goins, Bryan McCallum, Stephen Wyant, Ken Rusin, Frank Sprick.
The Family will visit with friendS from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
