Viola “Kay” (Brewer) Tipton, 86, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in a local hospital. She was a retired receptionist for Stepping Stone School and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was born August 4, 1931 in Natural Dam, Arkansas to the late Harve and Mentie (Brewer) Howell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Tipton, a daughter, Charlene Tipton and a brother, Henry Howell.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Ocker Chapel of Alma. Cremation and service are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include six sisters, Evelyn Dillon of Van Buren, Caroleen Nelson of Uniontown, Lera Fields of Mt. Burg, Becky Leggett of Redding, CA, Francis Henson and Gale Howell both of Uniontown, AR; three brothers, Paul Howell and Ray Howell both of Uniontown and Lee Howell of Van Buren; one grandson, Dakota Bowles and wife Kaela of Dyer.

The family will visit with relatives and friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
