Raul S. Betancourt, 65, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in a local hospital. He was a machinist at Bekaert Steel for over twenty years. He was a longtime resident of Crawford County and of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed fishing and being a handyman and doing outdoor work. He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 2, 2015 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Betancourt of the home, two sons Lewis Anderson of Fort Smith and Jason Anderson of Denver, CO.; one niece Dixie Pena of Miami Lakes, Florida; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Ramey.

Family will visit with relatives and friends on Sunday, February, 1, 2015 from 3-5 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be David Jernigan, Bobby Pigg, Scott Rogers, Devin Dyer, Ron Knight, Billy Harrell.
Honorary Pallbearers are Greg Pense and Sean Jernigan.
