Jimmie Howard Smith, 67, of Ozark, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in his home. He was a self employed Home Builder and Farmer, a U. S. Air Force Veteran serving in Vietnam and of the Methodist faith. He was born August 3, 1945 in Boise City, OK to the late Howard and Vivian (Nobles) Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Smith of the home; one daughter, Leigh Ann Smith of Ozark; one son, Marcus Howard Smith of Ozark; two Step Daughters, Nikki White and Gwen Haddock both of Alma; one sister, Pat Crafford of Ozark; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

Memorial service will be 2:00 Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Greenwood Community Center, Carbon Plant Road, Altus, AR. Graveside service will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, February 25, 2013 at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR with military honors. Services are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Pallbearers will be Jody Ross, Josye Smith, Hunter Harris, Logan Rose, Jamie Lambdin, Payton Allen, Josh Johnson and Lindsey Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Howard, Tom McCormick, Becky Harger, Barbara Beaulieu Jackie Patrick and Jay Brandzik.
