Obituary for JoAnn Irvin (Stamps)

JoAnn Irvin, 82 of Uniontown passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 in her home. She was a retired telephone operator and H.E. Irvin Milk Truck Hauling. She was a member of the First Church of God and a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis “Shorty” Irvin and a sister, Mary Watson.

She is survived by two daughters, Elmeda Champion & husband, A.C., Artie Jo Young & husband, Roy all of Van Buren; two sons, Buddy Irvin & wife, Sandy of Van Buren and Johnny Irvin & wife, Vickie of Mansfield; seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, William Eugene Blake, Sam Irvin, Jonathon Irvin, Terry Powell, Blayne Irvin and David Powell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Cameron, Aubry Matthews, Jacky Adkins, Rodney Ledbetter, Bobby Stites, J.T. McMaster, Sonny Small, Gene Powell and Bill Vickery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 4375, Ft. Smith, Arkansas 72914.

The family extends a special thanks to Cindy, Sandy, Rachael, Vickie all of Peacetree Hospice and to Pastor Glen & Linda Edmondson and to Pastor Dale Phelps.
