Brenda Brooks Hanna, 77, went home to be with her God, her heavenly father and Jesus Christ, her Savior on Monday, January 15, 2018 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Alma and a lifelong resident of Crawford County where she volunteered at church and school activities. She loved teaching pre-school children for some 50 plus years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Girvis and Jaunice (House) Brooks; one sister, Linda Marvin and two brothers, Larry D. Brooks and Jimmy Dale Brooks.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Alma with interment in New Cemetery in Mulberry, AR under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 60 years, Kenneth Hanna; one daughter, Cynthia Inge and husband Lynn of Alma, AR; two sons, Quentin Hanna and wife Shellie of Russellville, AR and Kendall Hanna and wife Tracy of Alma, AR; one sister Sherry Engrav and husband Henry of Van Buren, AR; one brother, David C. Brooks and wife Debby of Fort Smith, AR; Seven grandchildren were the joys of her life: Drew Hanna and wife Nichole, Bronson Inge and wife Kristi, Kelton Inge and wife Kelsie, Will Hanna and Fiancé Brook, Evan Hanna, Chapen Hanna and granddaughter, Camrie Elaine Hanna; Six great grandchildren, Lehi Hanna, Gracyn Inge, Emmagrace Hanna, Sutter Inge, Magdalyn Inge and Sophie Hanna. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved her as she loved them and numerous friends.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Drew Hanna, Bronson Inge, Kelton Inge, Will Hanna, Evan Hanna and Chapen Hanna.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Watkins, Rick Douglas, Keith Raley, Buddy Whitlock, John Goff, Claude Hatley, Earl Ross and Mike Brown.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 17, 2018 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
