Reverend Edward E. Head, 84, of Mountainburg, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a member and minister of New Beginnings Pentecostal Church of God in Mountainburg, AR, a retired U. S. Navy Seabee serving in the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. He was born August 23, 1933 in Oceola, AR.
Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at New Beginnings Pentecostal Church of God in Mountainburg, AR with interment in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Head of the home; one daughter, Michele Williams and husband Lee of Fort Smith; two sons, Jeff Head and wife Cindy of Fayetteville and Michael Head and wife Linh of Van Buren; four sisters, Betty Freeman, Linda Scott and Darlene Gatchell all of Michigan and Pat Cox of Florida; one brother, Terry Head of Michigan and 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Austin, Michael and Jeff Head, Matthew Baker, Steve Williams, Lee Williams and Frankie Dietz.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, September 28, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
