Billy Robert Threlkeld, 87 of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in a local hospital. He was employed by the U.S. Department of Labor; a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War; a member of the American Legion, VFW & the D.A.V. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Effenberger) Threlkeld.

Private Graveside services at U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by one daughter, Lynn Pevehouse of Fort Smith; one brother, Denney Threlkeld; two grandchildren, Katie Pevehouse of Fayetteville, Bill Pevehouse of Fort Smith.
