James (Bill) Bowman, 88 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in a local hospital. He retired as the owner of Bowman’s Upholstery in Van Buren. He was a lifelong resident of Crawford County and he and his wife were married fifty-seven years the 28th of June this year. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 1PM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Stamps Bowman of the home; one daughter Patty Bowman of Norman, OK; two sisters Clayceail Brown of Alma and Elsie McCurdy of Rudy; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rick Stickler, Bill Rhynes, Gary Brown, Kenny Brown, Richard Brammer and Walden Ballentine.
