Obituary for Charles Odis Butler Sr.

Charles Odis  Butler Sr.
Charles O. Butler, Sr., 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday May 28, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was a retired tool and die maker for Trane Industries, a member of Temple Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a former mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Butler, one daughter Cathleen Cox, one son, Charles Odis Butler, Jr. and two grandsons, Gregory Stephen Butler and Shannon Ray Nelke.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Nelke of Fort Smith and Janet Lively and her husband Danny of Fort Smith; one son, Steve Butler and his wife Rhoda of Fort Worth, TX; one sister, Vera Trisler of Paris, AR; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Blair Lively, Spencer Cox, Christopher and Peyton Lipham, Jonathan Bates and Grant Butler.
