Condolences

Condolence From: Keith Loris
Condolence: Mr. "DUDE" Crain was a PLILLAR" of Fort Smith business men. He gave so much to this area. He will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN ! I spent many days in my youth fishing in CRAIN LAKE ,with my friend WALT JACKSON. I hope it might be possible that the family might consider donating the land west of the main home to the FORT SMITH PARK SYSTEM as a park named after their father. SINCERELY, Keith Loris

Condolence: My dear friend for over 40 yrs. I learned a great deal from him over these yrs. He was always an inspiration to me. So patient and always willing to put anything aside and talk to you. I always enjoyed visiting with him and discussing his passion for planes & rodeos. His family has always been a part of mine. There will only be one "Dude." My sincerest condolences to the Crain ladies: Cathee, Lisa, Mimi, Kristan and his lovely wife Shirley.

Condolence: I'm sorry for your loss. Dude was a heck of a guy. He told me that family was the most important thing in life. He loved his family very much. He was proud of Brian and his movie making. He talked about his girls a lot and got really excited on Holidays when they were coming home. When Shirley was sick, he choked up when talking about it to me and said he couldn't stand to lose her. I know his passing will leave a hole in your hearts. I pray that it will be filled with fond memories of good times you had as a family. He will be missed at RJC.

Condolence: I never had the privilege of meeting Dude Crain yet I know so much about him. I know him through the eyes of two of his wonderful daughters. "Daddy", as they affectionately called him was fiercely loved and cherished. I can't recall ever having a conversation with Lisa where her Daddy wasn't mentioned. In reading all these beautiful writings and tributes, coupled with the committed devotion and love of his girls, this was a life well lived and a man so loved. Lisa & Cath, I know how much you loved your wonderful father, your affections for him was always apparent. Know the doors of heaven swung wide that day Daddy arrived in his eternal home. May God bless you all and keep you, and give you peace. XO, Lori
