Obituary for Brian David Wise

Brian David  Wise
Brian David Wise, 46, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in his home. He was born on September 6, 1970 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Tom and Peggy (Heming) Wise. The Wise’s moved to Fort Smith in 1971 and Brian attended Fort Smith Public Schools and graduated from Southside High School in 1988 and also attended Westark Junior College. He moved to Georgia in 1990 and lived in Atlanta. Brian was a professional and natural salesman as he never met a stranger. He was a Certified Luthier, building and restoring classical guitars and playing the guitar as his schedule allowed. Brian had a love of fly fishing for trout, especially with his sister and cousins. At the end of a good day of fishing he would always ask his dad, “How many did Tammy catch?”
The family will visit with friends from 4-6PM on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. A memorial service in Atlanta will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Peggy Wise of Fort Smith, AR; a sister, Tammy McMahon and her husband David of Fort Smith, AR; his step niece and nephew, Aaron and Kerri McMahon, and his canine brother, Bentley. He was also close with his surviving aunts, uncles and cousins. Brian will be missed by his family and many friends and anyone who came to know him, restating that Brian never met a stranger.
