Darrell James Freeman, 59 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 in a local hospital. He was employed by Gerber Products Company in Fort Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Idabell (Corzine) Freeman; one sister, Linda Freeman.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas there will be no formal visitation.

He is survived by one son, Billy Freeman and wife, Joyce of Van Buren; one daughter, Cassie Sheppard of Alma; three sisters, Mary Crocker of California, Barbara Simmons of North Carolina and Joyce Calicott and husband, Michael of Fort Smith; one brother, Tommy Freeman and wife, Mary of Alma; six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Larry McGee, Conrad Webbing and Landon Freeman.
