Marilyn Y. Mitchell, 78 of Van Buren passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 in her home. She was employed for 36 years at Whirlpool Manufacturing in Fort Smith. She was a member of the Uniontown Baptist Church in Uniontown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Mitchell; her parents, Clyde and Lena (Hodges) Miller; one sister, Carloyn Marion; two brothers, Winn and Gaylen Miller.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Uniontown Baptist Church in Uniontown with burial at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by three sons, Shannon Mitchell and Todd Mitchell both of Van Buren, Farron Mitchell and wife, Pam of Claremore, Oklahoma; one brother, David Miller and wife, Gail of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
