Obituary for Glenda Jane Williams (Moore)

Glenda Jane Moore Williams, 77, of Dickson, Tennessee, formerly of Van Buren, Arkansas and Mufreesboro, Tennessee died peacefully February, 3, 2017 at Brookdale in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born July, 26, 1939 in Van Buren Arkansas, daughter of the late Sidney A. and Virgie Sullivan Moore. She attended school in the Crawford County School System and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1958.

She married Dr. Jerry Williams and lived in Mufreesboro, Tennessee where she attended classes at Middle Tennessee State University and worked in the MTSU Business office. Upon leaving MTSU she owned and operated Mi Lad’y Shop. A lady’ dress shop located on the city square in Mufreesboro.

Glenda was an avid Quilter and gardner and was a former president of the Garden Lovers Club of Mufreesboro. She was a wonderful wife and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ in Mufreesboro.

Survivors include the husband, Dr. Jerry W. Williams of Dickson, Tennessee; her brothers and sisters, Pat Brown, Nancy Schuster, Kathy Monk, Billy Ed Moore and Joe Moore all of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with relatives Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10:00 a.m until time for the graveside service at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be at 12 P.M . Monday, February 6, 2017 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.
