Obituary for Albert Dimp Gish

Albert Dimp  Gish
Albert "Dimp/Paw" Gish, 95, of Alma, Arkansas passed on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in his home. He was a farmer, a U. S. Air Force Veteran serving in World War II and of the Baptist Faith. He was born June 9, 1921 in Lindsay, OK to the late Albert Ellis and Mamie (Glass) Gish. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice C. Gish and one daughter, Linda Sue Gish.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Pope Cemetery with military honors. Services are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann West of Alma, AR; one son, Tommy Gish of Alma, AR; one brother, Bobby Gish of OR; 4 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Gregory, Nick Griffin, Keith Hatley, Willie Williams, Charlie Gallangher and Mike Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Williams, Randy Boyd, Gary Gist, Wayne Cunningham, Frank Gregory and Chris West.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Peachtree Hospice, 2910 Jenny Lind Road, Fort Smith, AR 72901
