Carl Henry DeWitt, 76, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his home in the loving arms of his wife of 30 years. He was a Professional Truck Driver for 54 years. Retired from USA Truck, he attended New Heights Baptist Church in Alma and was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was born September 29, 1940 in Stockton, CA to the late Anna (Jones) and Clyde DeWitt. He was also preceded in death by his son, Travis Leonard; a grandson, Eric Lee Wesley Cooper and a great grandson, Zackary Daniel Wills.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Gracelawn Cemetery with military honors. Services are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife Florence DeWitt of the home; four daughters, Terri Lynn Linker (Edward) of Fort smith, AR, Carla Ann Cooper (Calvin) of Chester, AR, Cindy Dawn DeWitt Kelly (Buddy) of Hodgen, OK and Sandy Freeman of Alma, AR; two sons, Jerry Carl DeWitt of Abbott, AR and Danny Isakson of Alma, AR; two sisters Anna Jean Sims and Clydene Hughes of Waldron, AR one brother, Darrell DeWitt of Sugar Grove, AR; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrell DeWitt, Jr., Rick Sims, Butch Sims, Danny Isakson, Aaron Freeman and DeWayne Melton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Carpenter, Harold Taff and Delbert Reed.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
